Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP) Therapy

Plasma therapy or PRP therapy is a low-traumatic and safe method of hair treatment used in Trichology. 

Platelet-rich plasma is obtained from the patient’s own blood by centrifuging blood in special test tubes with the addition of an activator. Single or double centrifugation is used, which is most effective for obtaining plasma with a high concentration of platelets and hair growth factors. The resulting platelet plasma is activated by physical or chemical methods, after which the resulting cocktail of growth factors is injected directly into the hair loss zones. 

Platelet-Rich Plasma is absolutely safe against infectious diseases (HIV or viral hepatitis), as well as allergic reactions. 

Platelets contribute to the body’s ability to heal damaged tissues and stimulate the growth of new cells, as they contain hundreds of natural growth factors. After all, plasma is used to increase blood flow to the scalp. 

Indications 

- All types of hair loss (diffuse, nesting, androgenic)
- Slowing down the speed of hair growth
- Deterioration of hair quality: thinning, brittleness, dullness
- Chronic diseases of the scalp: seborrhea, seborrheic dermatitis, dandruff, psoriasis
- Preoperative preparation and rehabilitation after hair transplantation 

Contraindications 

- Low platelet count in the blood

- pathologies associated with blood clotting disorders

- taking corticosteroids and blood thinning medications
- pregnancy and lactation
